Extend your professional scope and learn about Forest Therapy in an intensive five-day workshop (Professional Training Course Code: HLTFTG43218). The workshop is suited for anyone interested in this innovative form of preventive medicine and Public health, incl. those who are active in clinics, spas, specialized resorts, hotels and wellness centers, in Government departments, organisations, companies or running their own practice. ANFTA’s Forest Therapy Introduction adheres to the International Core Curriculum for Forest Therapy (ICCFT) validated by experts from over 20 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Australia in 2017. ANFTA’s Forest Therapy Introduction comprises:

  • compact introductory workshop (40 hrs over five days)
  • theoretical and practical training
  • brief theoretical and practical examination

The five-day workshop will be conducted at the beautifully located Pallotti College, nestled away from the hustle and bustle near Warburton, Victoria. The training location comprises nearly 200 hectares of private land and forest, ideal for FTG training. The nearby unique and scenic Redwood Forest at the Yarra River, the Rainforest Gallery and O’Shannassy Aqueduct offer the finest of Forest Therapy trails in Australia, perfectly suited for an intense, secluded and effective Forest Therapy workshop.

The next ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction (HLTFTG43218) is scheduled for 12-18 September 2018. It is open to national and international applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 12 exclusive workshop places available. The language of instruction is English.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline or at least three years of relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent).

The total costs for the five-day ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction amount to only AUD 2,500, to be paid in two equal installments. Before submitting your application, please read our disclaimer and privacy policies. In case of cancelling your reserved workshop spot, ANFTA will have to charge a cancellation fee of AUD 500.-.

The costs include 40 lessons of instructions, instructional material (incl. a PowerPoint Presention), access to ANFTA’s online database (which contains several hundred research papers, brochures and books), a brief theoretical and final exam and, upon successful completion of the course, the ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction Certificate. The costs also cover full board and single-room accommodation during the workshop at Pallotti College.

The ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction utilizes the latest international research and focusses on the evidence-based aspects of this Public Health practice. The ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction is delivered by experienced and Certified Forest Therapy Guides, dedicated mentors and lecturers (all having tertiary degrees and specialized in their subject area). The ANFTA Forest Therapy Introduction is quality-controlled and monitored by Dr Dieter Kotte, Secretary of the ANFTA, who – among other qualifications – holds a PhD in International Comparative Education from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

The costs for the five-day workshop (Professional Training Course Code: HLTFTG43218, 12-18 September 2018) amount to AUD 2,500.- (all inclusive). These will have to be paid in two equal installments. The first installment of AUD 1,250.- is due immediately after the application is approved by ANFTA. The second installment of AUD 1,250.- is due latest by 15 August 2018. Of course, payment plans are available upon request.
